The Commanders spent the pick that matters most on Drake Maye, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

That is a linebacker worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
