Priorities are a choice, and the Eagles made a strange one, taking Tommy Eichenberg at linebacker in the 124th pick with edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots crying out for the pick instead.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Sainristil at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
