The board owed the Cowboys one, and it paid up: Garret Greenfield, the No. 216 name on the board, sitting there at slot 244 like a gift left on the doorstep.
The Williams pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
