This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tre Harris, the No. 26 name on the board, stolen at the Round 7 slot. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They are betting Ayomanor proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 4 they get an island corner. Need was not the driver here.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Wyatt Milum reach the Round 2 slot and blink. They did not. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Elic Ayomanor this early at the 69th overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They robbed the room for Tate Ratledge here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Ashton Jeanty at pick 104 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board fumbled Cam Ward all the way to Round 5, Pick 6, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
Dylan Fairchild at the 217th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
T.J. Sanders in pick No. 220 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Somehow Tre Harris was still sitting there in pick No. 238, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
