Every other box got a look, but quarterback did not. The Packers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
The Mahogany reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A clean fit for the roster.
Chris Braswell in the 41st pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Payton Wilson at Round 2, Pick 26 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A premium they did not need to pay, Christian Mahogany a notch or two before his time. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Trey Benson in the Round 3 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jarrian Jones at pick 126 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
