The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Johnny Dixon, the 255th overall pick, roughly 64 picks past where he belonged. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
