They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Commanders' quarterback, full stop. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Every board in the league had Hartman lower, and that gap is the story. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Kinchens.

Bottom line, with Jayden Daniels leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.6 · Pick 6 · Jayden Daniels · QB · rank 6
In pick No. 6 they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.4 · Pick 36 · Jordan Morgan · OT · rank 37
By-the-book stuff, Jordan Morgan at Round 2, Pick 4 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R2.8 · Pick 40 · Xavier Legette · WR · rank 38
They took Xavier Legette at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R2.15 · Pick 47 · T.J. Tampa · CB · rank 51
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on T.J. Tampa. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R3.3 · Pick 67 · Kingsley Suamataia · OT · rank 61
Kingsley Suamataia in slot 67 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R3.14 · Pick 78 · Kamren Kinchens · S · rank 64
They read the board right and Kamren Kinchens was the payoff at the 78th pick. A minor itch, scratched.
R3.37 · Pick 100 · Christian Mahogany · OG · rank 98
A straight-up fair deal on Christian Mahogany at No. 100, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.3 · Pick 139 · Ben Sinnott · TE · rank 129
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Ben Sinnott at pick 139 is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R5.16 · Pick 152 · Marist Liufau · LB · rank 165
A conviction pick on Marist Liufau at pick No. 152 that the board grades a round light. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R7.2 · Pick 222 · Sam Hartman · QB · rank 258
Sam Hartman at Round 7, Pick 2 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
