The tape said wait; the Commanders did not. Collin Oliver went at Round 5, Pick 9, a good 151 picks before the board was ready. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Alexander falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Joe Alt gives the group a proven body among the projects.
