You build a draft on nights like this. Mason Taylor had no business being available in the 239th overall pick, and the Commanders did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Johnson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
The skill positions did well by the weekend.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Landon Jackson at the Round 2 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
Value said wait; Tez Johnson in the 78th overall pick says they were not listening. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They will replay Quinshon Judkins at No. 147 for years; that is how good the value is. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Luke Kandra at Round 6, Pick 23 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
