The one they had to fix is still broken. The Packers left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
The King value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th pick they get a bendy edge with upside at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tyler Guyton. The roster fit checks out.
Kalen King is a better player than pick No. 57 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Mike Sainristil at slot 88 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A reasonable price with a little left over, McKinnley Jackson in the Round 3 slot. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A tidy bit of business in No. 125, where Beau Brade graded well above the range. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Cedric Gray in pick 135 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
