The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Kenny Logan Jr., pick 248, roughly 38 picks past where he belonged. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Sinnott reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 23 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Quinyon Mitchell at Round 2, Pick 27 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Tyler Davis at the 85th pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Tommy Eichenberg in the 123rd overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They paid a round early for Ben Sinnott in pick No. 127, more than the board wanted. A need, and now a little less of one.
They read the board right and Braelon Allen was the payoff at slot 164. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A conviction pick on Aaron Frost at the Round 7 slot that the board grades a round light. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Steal is underselling it; Kenny Logan Jr. at pick 248 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
