The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jared Wilson, Round 4, Pick 26, roughly 21 picks past where he belonged.
They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. Hemingway has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get a difference-maker at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Marcus Mbow at the 58th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
By-the-book stuff, Andrew Mukuba at slot 89 squarely in line with his ranking. A minor need, but a need all the same.
They barely believed it either: Jared Wilson still on the board at the 127th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid sticker price for Quincy Riley in No. 167, and that is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
They jumped the gun on Tonka Hemingway, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
