The Giants' one glaring miss is interior defensive lineman, a need they left exactly as they found it. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Getting Wilson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Reaching for Newton left real value on the table behind him.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 6 they get a true top target at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They took Cooper Beebe at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A conviction pick on Renardo Green at the 70th overall pick that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They liked Josh Newton enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 4, Pick 7. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Johnny Wilson slid further than he should have, and pick No. 141 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A premium they did not need to pay, Myles Cole a notch or two before his time. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
