Nobody had Jude Bowry this high, and it is not close. The Texans reached 22 spots to get him at slot 106. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The Banks value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a potential shutdown corner, and a steal at that. Need was not the driver here.
No edge and no loss on Emmanuel Pregnon in Round 2, Pick 6; it is a wash and a sensible one. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They will replay Caleb Banks at slot 59 for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They paid sticker price for Jadarian Price in pick 69, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Jude Bowry at the 106th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
