A solid, sensible weekend for the Vikings: B.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Ashton Jeanty, pick No. 24, roughly 22 picks past where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Every board in the league had Roberts lower, and that gap is the story. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.24 · Pick 24 · Ashton Jeanty · RB · rank 2
In Round 1, Pick 24 they get a lead back with juice, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
R3.33 · Pick 97 · Jermari Harris · CB · rank 89
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jermari Harris at slot 97 is the proof. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R5.1 · Pick 138 · Jaeden Roberts · OG · rank 161
Jaeden Roberts in the Round 5 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R5.22 · Pick 159 · Joshua Gray · OG · rank 170
A premium they did not need to pay, Joshua Gray a notch or two before his time. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
