The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Vikings spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The Hall pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. On value alone, Greenfield makes the weekend a net positive.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 3rd overall pick they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Khyree Jackson at pick No. 108 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A minor itch, scratched.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Mason McCormick at the 157th pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Isaiah Davis at Round 5, Pick 31 is the proof. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Gabe Hall in No. 177 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A real head-scratcher, Brevyn Spann-Ford in the Round 7 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Garret Greenfield slid further than he should have, and pick 232 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
