Call it larceny. Dominic Zvada sat on the board until pick No. 159, and the Vikings did not need to be asked twice.
The Roberts pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a featured back, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
The board fumbled Xavier Watts all the way to Round 3, Pick 25, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Maxwell Hairston. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A big swing on Jaeden Roberts at slot 138, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
