This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Kitan Oladapo, the No. 155 name on the board, stolen at Round 6, Pick 7. The bottom line is a respectable B.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Paul reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 11th overall pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A real need, handled.
J.J. McCarthy in the 34th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
A premium they did not need to pay, Patrick Paul a notch or two before his time. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They went early on Ja'Lynn Polk in No. 53, and the value did not follow. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Good price on Frank Gore Jr. in pick No. 229, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
