The trade table was where it all came apart. The Chiefs shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver. It is not that Styles is a bad player; it is that the Chiefs had louder needs to answer first.
The Loveland steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with wide receiver still staring back at them.
Pick-by-Pick
Nick Emmanwori at the 31st pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Colston Loveland in pick 76 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
