The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Chris Paul Jr., the Round 7 slot, roughly 123 picks past where he belonged.
They will need Stackhouse to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
They robbed the room for Omarion Hampton here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A straight-up fair deal on Alfred Collins at No. 58, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They will replay Jihaad Campbell at slot 67 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Nazir Stackhouse in the Round 4 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A real head-scratcher, Roc Taylor in pick 163 is miles ahead of his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Steal is underselling it; Chris Paul Jr. at Round 7, Pick 25 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
