A solid, sensible weekend for the Texans: B-.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Shemar Turner at pick No. 89 is 80 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.
The Winston Jr. pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th pick they get a green-dot type in the middle. A real need, handled.
Aireontae Ersery at Round 2, Pick 26 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It fills a real need, too.
Shemar Turner at pick 89 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A safety of that caliber at No. 126 is the definition of value, full stop. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Roc Taylor at the Round 5 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Circle this one: Terrance Ferguson at the 241st overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
