Somebody in No. 229 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Daequan Hardy, the No. 195 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Wright reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
