Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Packers came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

If Haynesworth pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Landing Williams that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.8 · Pick 40 · Kalen King · CB · rank 48
They liked Kalen King enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 2, Pick 8. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R2.19 · Pick 51 · Tyler Guyton · OT · rank 64
A premium they did not need to pay, Tyler Guyton a notch or two before his time. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R3.19 · Pick 83 · Tommy Eichenberg · LB · rank 108
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Tommy Eichenberg. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R3.20 · Pick 84 · Bucky Irving · RB · rank 90
A straight-up fair deal on Bucky Irving at No. 84, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R4.35 · Pick 135 · Sincere Haynesworth · C · rank 165
Sincere Haynesworth at the 135th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R7.20 · Pick 240 · Isaiah Williams · WR · rank 218
Isaiah Williams at the 240th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
