This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jack Kiser, the No. 192 name on the board, stolen at slot 237. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Reaching for Fleming left real value on the table behind him. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
They did well to land Shavon Revel Jr. in slot 33, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Nothing to complain about; Tyleik Williams went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Taking Andrew Mukuba in Round 3, Pick 23 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Elic Ayomanor in the 99th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board had cheaper options than Willie Lampkin at No. 158, and it noticed. It fills a real need, too.
They barely believed it either: Jack Kiser still on the board at the 237th overall pick. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
