The board owed the Eagles one, and it paid up: Devin Neal, the No. 83 name on the board, sitting there at pick No. 133 like a gift left on the doorstep. Very little went wrong, and the A is earned.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Travon Walker gives the group a proven body among the projects.
In the end it comes back to Tyler Warren, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

Taking Tyler Warren in No. 79 is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Andrew Mukuba in Round 3, Pick 30, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Barrett Carter at the Round 4 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Somehow Devin Neal was still sitting there in pick No. 133, and they pounced on premier running back value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
