Best value of the weekend goes to the Giants for Williams: B+.

The real work happened on the phones. The Giants fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Williams. They will need Sinnott to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.12 · Pick 12 · Brock Bowers · TE · rank 6
In the Round 1 slot they get a red-zone target to build around. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.7 · Pick 39 · Adonai Mitchell · WR · rank 35
A reasonable price with a little left over, Adonai Mitchell in pick 39. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R2.10 · Pick 42 · Chris Braswell · LB-EDGE · rank 42
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Chris Braswell. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R2.15 · Pick 47 · Jonathon Brooks · RB · rank 45
No drama and no debate, Jonathon Brooks went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 15. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R3.6 · Pick 70 · Cooper Beebe · OG · rank 74
Cooper Beebe in No. 70 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R4.8 · Pick 108 · Javon Foster · OT · rank 119
Javon Foster at the 108th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R4.9 · Pick 109 · Ben Sinnott · TE · rank 131
They reached into another round for Ben Sinnott, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R5.4 · Pick 140 · James Williams · S · rank 118
James Williams at Round 5, Pick 4 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R6.10 · Pick 185 · Luke McCaffrey · WR · rank 164
Luke McCaffrey at the 185th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
