The trade table was a mismatch, and the Chargers were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Reaching for Harrell left real value on the table behind him. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
