This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Marvin Harrison Jr., the No. 1 name on the board, stolen at the Round 3 slot. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.
Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
In the end it comes back to Caleb Williams, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 9th overall pick they get a passer to set the clock by. A real need, handled.
Brock Bowers in pick 34 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
Marvin Harrison Jr. at the 75th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Christian Mahogany slid further than he should have, and the 88th overall pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Ben Sinnott in No. 136 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It fills a real need, too.
Dylan Laube at pick No. 182 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Ethan Driskell in Round 7, Pick 9 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
