Whoever sat across the table from the Patriots should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Jackson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
It is a haul that will look even better come September.

They read the board right and Kaleb Johnson was the payoff at pick 51. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Somehow Tre Harris was still sitting there in the 69th pick, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 106th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. It fills a real need, too.
