More right than wrong for the Saints, and a B- to prove it.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Saints did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
However the rest shakes out, Trigg at that price is a win they earned. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 8 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker at fair value. More want than need.
A slide stopped in No. 42, with Chris Johnson worth more than the price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They let Keionte Scott come to them and pounced at the 73rd pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Michael Trigg at Round 4, Pick 32 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They took CJ Daniels at par in pick No. 136, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Chris McClellan at slot 150 is the proof. A need, and now a little less of one.
They did well to land Ar'maj Reed-Adams in the 172nd overall pick, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Taylen Green at the Round 6 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the quarterback. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
