After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Giants committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Kinchens. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 6 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value.
JT Tuimoloau in pick No. 38 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid sticker price for Jordan Morgan in Round 2, Pick 15, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No drama and no debate, Ja'Lynn Polk went about where he belonged in the 70th overall pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Kamren Kinchens in the 106th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jason Marshall Jr. in No. 143 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Layden Robinson in the Round 6 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
