You build a draft on nights like this. Patrick Paul had no business being available in the 70th pick, and the Giants did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Rome Odunze in the 8th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Chop Robinson in Round 2, Pick 7 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It fills a real need, too.
