Start where it matters. The Giants took Michael Penix Jr. to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
If Frazier pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Landing Moore that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Michael Penix Jr. at pick No. 7, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Keon Coleman in Round 2, Pick 5 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kamari Lassiter. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They barely believed it either: Graham Barton still on the board at the 47th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They took Byron Murphy II at par in slot 69, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Rod Moore in No. 105, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
By-the-book stuff, Jason Marshall Jr. at pick 142 squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They talked themselves into Miles Frazier at the 183rd overall pick, and the board did not agree. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
