The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: JC Latham, the 37th pick, roughly 21 picks past where he belonged. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.
They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. Isaac has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Pick-by-Pick
In pick 11 they get a No. 1 receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
JC Latham at the 37th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
J.J. McCarthy at slot 42 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at No. 54. A minor need, but a need all the same.
The board had Cooper DeJean higher than the 69th pick, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. It fills a real need, too.
A quiet steal in pick No. 75: Leonard Taylor III for less than the market said. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Blake Fisher at Round 4, Pick 5 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
