This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Kevin Winston Jr., the No. 94 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 221.
If Dellinger pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 3rd overall pick they get a weapon on the perimeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Value with a capital V on Tyleik Williams in pick 70, a genuine coup. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Ajani Cornelius. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Evan Stewart at pick No. 106 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They barely believed it either: Deontae Lawson still on the board at Round 5, Pick 3. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Kevin Winston Jr. in No. 221 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Garrett Dellinger this early at slot 223. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Brant Kuithe at the 235th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
