The Cowboys torched the value chart for Zion Logue, taking him 38 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 24th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A tidy little value on Jackson Powers-Johnson in Round 2, Pick 24, a step better than break-even. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
No drama and no debate, Marist Liufau went about where he belonged in pick No. 87. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A big swing on Braelon Allen at No. 124, well ahead of any board in the building. A need, and now a little less of one.
They took Jaylan Ford at par in slot 174, which is nothing to complain about. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They talked themselves into Zion Logue at pick 212, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
