This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tre Harris, the No. 18 name on the board, stolen at Round 7, Pick 7. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 3 they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value. More want than need.
Taking Wyatt Milum in Round 2, Pick 7 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It fills a real need, too.
They took Jalen Royals at par in the Round 3 slot, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at the 80th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Aireontae Ersery in the 106th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Somehow Jalon Walker was still sitting there in slot 141, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A minor need, but a need all the same.
You do not let a wide receiver like Tre Harris reach pick No. 221 and blink. They did not. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Josaiah Stewart at No. 223 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Logan Jones in slot 235, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
