The Chiefs torched the value chart for Joshua Cephus, taking him 57 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers. Getting James where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
