Somebody in the Round 7 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Cam Ward, the No. 7 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Bottom line, with Emery Jones Jr. leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
