Thirty-one other rooms let Jordyn Tyson slide, and the Packers were the ones holding the card at the 255th pick. Highway robbery. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
The board fumbled David Bailey all the way to No. 52, and they scooped it up. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Taking Mansoor Delane in the 84th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Spencer Fano at the 120th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They will replay Sonny Styles at the Round 5 slot for years; that is how good the value is. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Circle this one: Lee Hunter at slot 201 is a fall that decides a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Kenyon Sadiq in pick No. 236 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Jordyn Tyson in pick 255 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
