The Dolphins put a flag in the ground for Romello Height, 26 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 2 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 11 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. More want than need.
Caleb Lomu at the Round 1 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Value said wait; Romello Height in pick 43 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
