The tape said wait; the Lions did not. Blake Miller went at Round 1, Pick 17, a good 29 picks before the board was ready. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. That Cisse pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term starter on the line, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
The board had Brandon Cisse higher than pick No. 50, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
