There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Justin Eboigbe a full 60 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. No fireworks, but a solid B.
Getting Rice where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The phones were where this weekend was really won. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
Amarius Mims slipping to the 33rd overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Edgerrin Cooper. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They paid sticker price for Kingsley Suamataia in pick 58, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Trey Benson at slot 65 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

They reached into another round for Joe Milton III, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
