Start where it matters. The Giants took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
They will need Mahogany to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Muhammad III value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 5 they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
No edge and no loss on Keon Coleman in slot 37; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Amarius Mims well ahead of where he belonged. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kamren Kinchens at pick 69 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Darius Robinson at the 105th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They reached a country mile for Christian Mahogany at the Round 5 slot, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They robbed the room for Moose Muhammad III here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
