The rest of the league will want that one back. Dallas Turner tumbling to the Chiefs in Round 1, Pick 32 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
Somehow Dallas Turner was still sitting there in the 32nd pick, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They took Kiran Amegadjie at par in the 64th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Ben Sinnott at No. 95 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
No drama and no debate, Isaac Guerendo went about where he belonged in slot 131. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Luke McCaffrey at Round 5, Pick 23 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jaylin Simpson in pick 173. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They let Jalen Coker come to them and pounced at the Round 7 slot. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
