The rest of the league will want that one back. Cam Hart tumbling to the Chiefs in the Round 4 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 32 they get protection for the quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
No drama and no debate, Devontez Walker went about where he belonged in No. 64. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Brandon Dorlus at pick No. 95 is the proof. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They barely believed it either: Cam Hart still on the board at the Round 4 slot. A minor itch, scratched.
Mason McCormick slid further than he should have, and the 159th pick is lovely value for the offensive lineman. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Khristian Boyd in the 173rd overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jalen Coker in pick 252 is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
