Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Leonard Taylor III at No. 64 is 46 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. The bottom line is a respectable B.
The Amegadjie steal is the beam this whole class leans on. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Troy Fautanu at Round 2, Pick 3 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They reached into another round for Leonard Taylor III, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Devontez Walker at pick 90 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Taking Kiran Amegadjie in the 95th pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They did well to land Isaac Guerendo in the 132nd overall pick, just ahead of his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jaylin Simpson. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Luke McCaffrey in the 159th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
