The Chiefs did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Garret Greenfield fell into No. 252.
The Flournoy reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 32nd pick they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Brandon Dorlus at pick 64 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It fills a real need, too.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Javon Foster well ahead of where he belonged. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 4 slot with a little surplus value in Isaac Guerendo. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Dwight McGlothern at No. 159 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It adds depth where they could use a little.
