Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Evan Anderson at No. 250 is 33 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a matchup problem out wide. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Cooper Beebe at pick 64 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Darius Robinson at pick No. 95 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It fills a real need, too.
They paid a round early for Ben Sinnott in Round 4, Pick 33, more than the board wanted. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jaylin Simpson at the 158th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Nothing to complain about; Kitan Oladapo went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Matthew Jones well ahead of where he belonged. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They reached into another round for Evan Anderson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
