Thirty-one other rooms let Ja'Lynn Polk slide, and the Chiefs were the ones holding the card at the 143rd pick. Highway robbery. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Puni pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Circle this one: Brian Thomas Jr. at pick 43 is a fall that decides a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They paid sticker price for Kingsley Suamataia in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Dominick Puni in Round 3, Pick 10 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kris Abrams-Draine in the 95th overall pick. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Leonard Taylor III at pick No. 131 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Somehow Ja'Lynn Polk was still sitting there in slot 143, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They paid up for Braiden McGregor at No. 159 when waiting would have done the job. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They took Kamal Hadden at par in the 173rd pick, which is nothing to complain about. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Tyrice Knight is a better player than pick No. 221 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
